Taking care of yourself is one of the most important things you could possibly do for yourself in your lifetime. Right? Not only is taking care of yourself a very important thing, but will help you guide into different life situations on your own terms without “obeying” to anyone else. My parents have always told me to always take care of myself when I was a small girl to help me prepare for the big reality world…because honestly the “real world” can be a “happy” and “ dangerous” place too at the very same time. Don’t you agree?
Not everything is always “dandy” and “bright,” but at least if you know that “you” are the most important thing in life to walk, live, and breathe mother-nature earth is a pure sign you are heading into the right path in life. You never know where life will take you. Life is absolutely full of endless possibilities. And of course, opportunities. Wherever you are at in your life, enjoy, cherish, and most importantly….LOVE your life! If you do, you will appreciate and love your life even more. I am so dead serious.
I have seen many people in my lifetime that are completely miserable because of certain situations in their life that didn’t turn out the way they wanted it to be. For example, my sister is a great person. She is currently in school taking pre-requisites for the “nursing” program, has an amazing boyfriend, close friends, cares about our family A LOT, but the problem is….I don’t think she knows how to really take care of herself. My sister does worry about me a lot, but I have told her many times that I’m a grown woman and I can be able to take care of myself. Really…I don’t need anyone else taking care of me.
My sister will go far to an extent towards taking care of the most important things in her life that….she forgets herself sometimes. Now…that isn’t a good sign. Seriously. It is wonderful and great she has those amazing qualities, but I always try to tell her that “taking care” of herself will certainly help her out in life. Of course being 4 years apart can be a bit difficult with my sister sometimes because our personalities can “clash.” Not only do we both have very different personalities, but are completely different individuals.
I absolutely know how to take care of myself. It is very important for me that I do. Honestly, if I did not know how to take care of myself, I will certainly be disappointed. For example, every morning before school, I always make sure that I am drinking at least 2 cups of coffee a day, some cereal or yogurt, or even yummy toast. This helps me start my day. Then I take a look at my “to-do” list scheduled on my personal calendar on my cell phone making sure things will be completed throughout the day. I love to organize and schedule my life together. It helps me finish things on time along with getting them done as well. I love it. Without high-tech gadgets like cell phones for example…I don’t know how I would really survive. Since I am a busy woman too, I always try to make sure I put in some “pampering” time for myself such as going to the gym, getting my hair done, waxes, and at least “spoiling” myself a bit. It makes me feel good because I “work” hard…so I want to “play” hard too.
How do you take care of yourself?
